I am currently a senior developer for The Economist. Until early March of 2009, I was the lead developer for Observer Media Group: Observer.com and Politicker.com. I live in the East Village, in New York City (40.729410, -73.981171). I'm getting married to my fiancé, Emily, on August 15th, 2009. I like to write software in PHP, Python and sometimes Ruby, Java, Erlang, and Common Lisp. I prefer Drupal, Django, web2py, and Storm to give me a headstart. These days I don't write much PHP if it's not for Drupal. I also enjoy server administration. Really.
When I'm not programming, planning programming, or supporting programming, I like to cook and eat. I'm an avid and knowledgable beer drinker and am starting to learn about wine beyond "I like Cabernet." I regularly play the piano--mine is a Casio CDP-100; digital, but full-sized with solid feeling weighted keys. I reluctantly go to the gym most days. I enjoy House, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The Office, and I never tire of Futurama and Arrested Development reruns.
About this site. This is a Drupal site, of course. It aggregates photos from Flickr, status updates from Twitter, and links from Delicious. I can blog, too!
My gear. I use a MacBook Pro (for everything) and an Eee (on the road). I also have an XO laptop from OLPC. I have an iPhone, a Flip Mino, and a Canon Elph. I also have an Apple TV and a Wii.
